Sustainability

Building responsible commerce, from day one.

J‑Uza is an early-stage marketplace. We don't have decades of impact data to point to yet — but we're choosing to design sustainability into the platform now, before scale makes it harder to change. This page is our commitment, and how we'll measure ourselves as we grow.

GRI Standards Alignment

J‑Uza's 17-indicator ESG Sustainability Assessment has been developed with reference to the GRI Universal Standards 2021 (GRI 1, GRI 2, GRI 3) and applicable GRI Topic Standards including GRI 204, 301, 302, 303, 305, 306, 308, 401, 403, 404, 405, and 414.

Each of the 17 indicators in the assessment is mapped to a specific GRI disclosure, enabling organisations completing the J‑Uza assessment to generate structured, comparable ESG data consistent with GRI reporting requirements.

This alignment is self-declared by App Town Technologies Ltd and has not been formally reviewed or certified by GRI. J‑Uza's assessment is also designed with reference to Kenya's Green Finance Taxonomy (mandatory from October 2026) and the Central Bank of Kenya's Climate Risk Disclosure Framework.
