Sustainability

Building responsible commerce, from day one.

J‑Uza is an early-stage marketplace. We don't have decades of impact data to point to yet — but we're choosing to design sustainability into the platform now, before scale makes it harder to change. This page is our commitment, and how we'll measure ourselves as we grow.

Where we are today

Pre-launch. Onboarding founding sellers.

We're not publishing emissions, offset, or recirculation numbers we haven't earned. Instead, here's exactly where the platform stands right now — and what we're building toward.

Carbon scoring
In development — launching with verified sellers
Offset partners
In selection — Gold Standard certified projects
Returns & repair program
Designed, rolling out with first sellers
Logistics partners
Evaluating carbon-aware carriers per region
Our launch-year goals (targets, not results)
100%
Listings with a published carbon estimate
Year 1
First impact report published openly

Net‑zero
Platform operations by year three

These are public targets. We'll report progress — including misses — in our annual impact report.

Our pillars

Transparent footprint

Every SKU will get a lifecycle CO₂e estimate using verified supplier inputs where available, and clearly-labeled ML estimation where it isn't. We'll show our work.

Circular by default

Returns, repair, and refurbishment workflows are part of the seller toolkit at launch — not features added later under pressure.

Fair supply chains

We're onboarding sellers with supplier disclosure as a requirement, not an upsell. Verification deepens as we grow.

Climate‑aware logistics

Carrier selection will weigh carbon alongside cost and speed. Residual emissions will be offset through Gold Standard projects once volume justifies it.

Founding sellers

Help us set the standard.

The first sellers on J‑Uza will shape how sustainability is measured, surfaced, and rewarded across the platform.
